theres not any factory points, spossed to have to use a proper mounting thing that costs a few $$.

I drilled my own hole but rio'd it with a large chunk of 6mm plate to resisit tearing through the body on impact, but still used the proper bolt, etc. its syas in the instructions that you can drill a hole but apparetnly its still illegal

I know it hurts financially but you are best to go to an authorized restraint fitter to get this done. Might save a lot of grief in the long run.

Get it done by an authorised restraint fitter, it's just not worth the risk.

Did'nt think there were any restraint points it's just like my old 720 Pain in the arse. I just looped a heap of thick wire around the back seat and through the bolt hole (dodgy i know but i fighured that it would be safe enough and never drove very far in it.. Sucks though i know 60 series have restraints in them right at the back but there still there and that's the same sort of year model Nissan must not have been family orintated

MK wagons need a 'crab bar'. They're a universal (usually beige) adjustable length tube that bolts behind the seats.
If you can find one from any car at a wreckers, you can fit it up then go and have it checked by an authorized restraint fitter. I don't think they're too expensive to buy new either.
I don't think the requirement is to have it installed by them, just checked - and there's no certificate issued or anything, it's just a visual inspection.
I had mine inspected when I put my first baby seat in (got 3 in there now) and it was a free, 5 minute check.
There's 2 places to mount one in a Mk wagon, the bottom of the C pillar behind the 2nd row of seats, or the D pillar behind the 3rd row.

The actual anchor points are provided by clamps around the crab bar, so can be positioned anywhere along the bar.

Drill a hole, bolt U bracket to the bottom of the pillar with supplied backing plate, then bolt crab bar to u bracket.
