heater hoses for GU 4.5

Post by j-top paj »

has anyone changed the heater hoses on a tb45?
ive been chasing up the hoses to replace when my radiator comes out when im doing the front main oil seal and its been a bit of a challenge trying to get a hold of the hoses.
i have a complete list of all the hoses and there are a couple that nobody seem to be able to get.
one of them was a 8mm hose that i got a price of $81  for and i had to wait for over a week for them to make it or something and come from QLD?

i have the top and bottom radiator hoses for $60 and then i get home only to find out that i already have genuine ones in a box that came with the car when i bought it :x
and i have a few of the other hoses already but some are just hard to find.
the other ones im wndering if i can just use straight hose and bend them?

Cant help with the hoses, but my front main seal has been leaking a bit too.

What's involved in replacing it. I've never done a front main seal before. How much are they worth, and does the harmonic balancer need to be pulled off.

not sure, im more than likely going to drop it of at a mechanic and let him worry bout it.
the seal itself is the cheap part, i think it was around $20 or so.
my seal has been leaking ever since i got it and ive put around 30k on it since i got it last year
