They are the same as the lock rite yeah?
I have them front and rear and the rear is awsome fun on a wet road! I only notice it when i put the clutch in to pull into the drive way sometime(The clicking sound every one talks about!)
The front when in 4wd is a prick to steer but you learn to live with it and out drive bigger cars!
What size tyres you running?
If a richmond locker isn't a lockrite this is no help to you!

Built swb sierra, building a lwb sierra ute and have a dmax for family camping
In case you haven't bought your lockers yet, get in touch with Figmo at Roadless Gear in the US (sales@roadlessgear.com). Really good service, delivery takes about 2 weeks from date of order, and they can take payment via Paypal or credit card thru their website www.roadlessgear.com.
I just got a pair of Richmond Lockrites shipped in from the US for $530 delivered to my door (total cost for lockers + postage + currency conversion fees). I think its about the best price you'll find them for.

I have a lock-rite in the front, It does make the steering heavy but the off road performance is great and mine is very quited and i can hardly hear the clicking.
I am runnig 31 Simex ET's and no power steering and a small steering wheel and a return to centre steering dampner so i get a workout every time i drive it in 4WD but in 2WD its fine.
As long as your moving.
Cheers

Hookers are like bowling balls, You pick them up, put your fingers in them, then throw them in the gutter and they come back for more.

Richmond do two different types, the original is the standard lockright, they are the most common, cheapest and harshest of the lockers, but are ok compared to some of the other brands of auto lockers, the other is the powertrax lockright, these are stronger, better made, more expensive lockers.
This is the powertrax one here

If the above post did not offend you in any way please PM me so I can try harder!!
Any link to where it says there are two different types of lockers made by Richmond for the Zook, Tiny?Tiny wrote:Richmond do two different types, the original is the standard lockright ... the other is the powertrax lockright, these are stronger, better made, more expensive lockers.
I've got the box for mine sitting next to me ... the outside of the box is marked "Richmond Lock-Right", but the Installation and Owner's manuals inside are marked "Richmond Lock-Right Powertrax", "Lock-Right by Powertrax". Seems like they're one and the same thing as far as I can tell.
I have a set of Richmond Lock Rights for sale, they are being advertised on ebay at the moment.

I thought the only difference between the two was that one has optional locking plates that replace your gears and with one of them the spring and pin can be removed from the side without completely dismantling the diff centre, which makes for easy spring and pin replacement.Tiny wrote:I will clarify a little, the differences are mainly in the locking gears \ plates, the powertrax is apparently due to its set up much smoother and stronger

Hmmmmm selling Richmonds to buy EZ Locks, maybe people should think prior to rude comments....4130warrior wrote:wtf. sorry for the hijack rocky but how can this person above be asking only two days prior about how much lockrites cost then be advertising a set on eBay now? and it's a new member no less so something smells fishy...
New nic name, old member, sold car so don't have plates no more.
