Just pulled the alternator out of the GU & it's seized ?
Was wondering how hard it is to change the bearings in these or is it best left to the auto elec? Also, could there 'possibley' be anything else that may need to be replaced while I'm @ it?
Not sure about you particlular one but my toyota one complete with vacuum looked hard but using a manual it was easy and the best part it only cost $20 for the bearing from a bearing shop.
GU BUG wrote:Yeah hopefully the cost is minimal though it doesn't bother me if I have to pay to get someone to do it, I just like to give things a go myself
Personally I hate paying someone to do jobs for me
