i tried searching first but couldnt find an answer so i ask
ive put a 3 inch lift in my gq wagon now it seems to driving fine and has the same road manners as before but when you look at the bottom of the front springs were they sit on the perch it seems like the spring is sitting on the back of the perch only and the front off the spring is sitting up the top seems to sitting fine
anyone have any ideas please

try spinning the spring around.. if Im reading your post correctly, the spring isnt seated properly.. theres a small indentation where the end of the spring should sit.
Have you fitted any kind of caster correction? If not, the diff could have rotated forward and the rear of the spring could be taking a slightly higher load, but I would check your spring seating first as bogged suggested.

i have not done any castor correction yet as it still drives the same as before and i definetly tried to make sure they sat properly when i put them in but i will recheck them when i get chance

I agree with what the others have said.
I think it is pretty normal when you don't do a castor correction. I have been guilty of this myself. The coil design is a factor here.
Even if it does ride right it isn't very good for your coils. One or both are more likely to sag, though coils spacers are pretty cheap if you ever need them.
I am surprised you haven't noticed it driving any different. When you let the steering wheel go it should be more likely to be affected by road camber and undulations in the road.

castor bushes are in, the spring sit pretty close to spot on now. i dont know why i didnt put them in when ifirst did the lift. it drives so much better now. dont let anyone talk you out of putting the bushes in.
mine didnt come with a template. they just came with instructions on a small peice of paper. i had to mark 12-6 on the armns when in the car. then he pressed the front bush in and measured the centres to line the rear bush up
