They had two stages in "mudzilla gorge" as they now call it, craig bowen went first on track 1 and big red went first on track 2.
We ended up winching over the top of the rocks after an hour of trying but completed the course with a bucket load of points and a bent tie rod, 2 bent side steps, 2 ripped off mudgaurds, 1 broken taillight and a very badly dented tailshaft
MR sheetmetal pulled ot the side after about 3/4 hour with bent steering.
Les duffel was pulled out backwards [i think] after about 3/4 hour with a damaged front guard and then they cancelled the stage.

he he, silly buggers, they followed me :finger:

for track 1 we tied things out of the way, bent the tierod near straight and had a go.
for NUGGET HILL [where i broke the rear axle and difflock last round] they had dug another 18" ledge in front of the log and i got chris to stack heaps of to give me a good run at the hill to save strain on the tailshaft. we made it up and around the rest of the stage but lost a lot of points for the stacking...after the run the tailshaft had twisted about 1/8 th turn.
there were a few cv's and things broken on this stage by others.

The new track 2 was now the same as track 1 but run the reverse direction but the took out the downhill run of nugget hill.
Les rolled on this stage when he got a flat tyre and ended up with his roof up against a tree.
they winched him back out and after they kicked out the roof he had another go and nearly rolled again in the same spot...the crowd sure appreciated it :D
We did well except i couldnt turn on one corner as it just slid straight so we had to do a reverse but managed the rest ok and the tailshaft didn't twist any more.

for the vertical assualt they had dug out one of the hill climbs to make it steeper, much much steeper.
when the guys got to that hill no one made it up.

BTW the first track two was named "GLENS REVENGE" and certainly was a doozy.
The pic was after three teams had stacked it and as usual doesn't show how bad it was.
chris [my navie] told me that my rear left 38" swamper was sunk in under ground level and the rocks we drove on had just sunk out of sight.
we managed to drive that section but the mud made us slip off the line on the next rocky bit and we were well and truly stuck, we did all the damage on this bit.
pics will be up later.

Outerlimits members had a good result for most events, I took 3rd in the mud pursuit with a time of 1min 17 seconds. those 20 valve zooks are hard to beat on a tight track. winner was ben in a green x offroad racer zook with a twin cam toyota engine, 800kg and 160kilowatt. 2 nd I can't remember. good weekend overall.

another great event thanks to all the hard work of glen and all the other helpers . thanks guys . a special thanks to lcmp for putting up the prize money and YHI for a set of mudzillas . the tracks were hard and the comp very close . im glad glen closed track 2 before i had to do it . if shane couldnt get through in big red how were we supposed to . good picks shane . im dissapointed i had to leave on friday night after the storm trashed my camper . when you see a rolled up swag flying through the air and landing a hundred mtrs away i guess the wind was quite strong . thanks again to all involved in a great event .
