MQ fuel tank

Post by macca81 »

im having probs with my fuel gauge, in that it tells me ite full when its full, tells me its at 3/4 when its at 3/4, then drops from 3/4 to 1/2 in about 70km, then drops from 1/2 to empty in about 200km, where it sits for the rest of the tank, often about 400+kms...

so im 90% sure that it would be the fuel sender unit, but i wanna know, how do i get to it without pulling the tank out? someone told me theres a hole in the floor at the back, but others have said there isnt. i dont wanna go pulling up my lovely vinyl to find theres no hole so any help would be great!

cheers,
macca

in the gq there is a door/hole in the back that takes you to the top of the tank
