I have considered all turbo upgrade/replacements options for the Patrol but the full replacement is costly.
Does anyone know if you can fit a Garrett ball bearing CHRA in the standard Nissan Turbo housings. As there are several companies that machine the housings to hi flow them I would imagine fitting a CHRA would not be difficult. Obviously water and oil lines would still be required but without all of the other bits and pieces it would be a better option with similar results.
When they hi flow the standard turbo does anyone know what wheel specs are used.

Standard TD42 turbo housings with BB CHRA ??
It can be done but is almost as costly as fitting a standard BB. The exhaust housing has to be spray welded up as it has a different profile compared to standard. The bb chra is also smaller in total size than standard in length.
Hope this helps.
