One I have seen done in a few places is run it to the rear, round a pulley block, then to the front (routing could be fun).
To rear winch you run out the pulley block.
To forward winch you do a normal direct pull.
Fairleads for the rear, and any intermediate pulleys could be fun. Avoid tight corners.
You have prob seen similar.

Have a look at this one, he is able to supply cradles and mounting kits for most vehicles.

i have seen one of these on an ibex (kit car made from a land rover). It had a central mounted winch that goes to the back of the 4wd and around a pulley then to the front. the pulley can be pulled out and used in a rear recovery like a snatch block or like a standard winch out the front. only issue was making sure it wound on the winch evenly as you could not see it directly.
How do u wind it on evenly when u can see it?? when u have 2t on the end of the cable it winds onto the drum how ever it wants.manitou wrote:i have seen one of these on an ibex (kit car made from a land rover).
