It's where I'm at now as well. I'll do it all in the Mav if the $$ work out that way but I am just looking at diesel options for a possible longer trip mid-next year.
This is not legal advice.

best vehicle for the 6.5 would be the petrol manual.
4.1's would be perfect for 35's with the torque of the 6.5
get a couple of k for the origional petrol engine and computer.

Yep, a GQ 4.2 diesel is on my list too; but I'd more likely just buy a GQ diesel, put all the good shiat on it, and sell the dual fuel mav.

Then maybe fork for an aftermarket turbo.

It's all just hypothetical at the moment!

They asked if mine was auto when I did mine... if it was, they weren't real keen on it. If you were loking at new box you'd go the TH700 I'd reckon...

3.0L Manual works fine... so far!

Email them. Also a mob in Gympie called Linquip worth checking if your serious. I went with Brunswick though.
2000 GU II, 6.5L Chev Diesel (ex ZD30), lift, bar+winch, rear bar, drawers, fuel tanks I need a personal loan to fill... most of the regular touring gear.
