4x4 Battle of the States - Emu Creek Reunion.

4x4 Battle of the States - Emu Creek Reunion.
Neil Lennard started a 4x4 revolution at Emu Creek, and many of the most enthusiastic 4WDers in South East Qld. & Northern NSW remember those great days.
On the Queens Birthday Weekend 2008, 4x4 Battle of the States, with the support of Blair Maxwell, the current owner of Emu Creek is planning the REUNION that a lot of us have talked about, but never got around to doing.
Blair is closing the Park to Motor Cycles for this weekend so we can get together and have some 4WDing fun.
THIS IS NOT A COMPETETIVE EVENT!
The old 4x4 BotS Hillclimbs, Mud Run & Rock and Log Slog courses will be open over the weekend to play on, but no competetive events are planned. There will be various tag-a-longs, companionship around the camp fire, and maybe even some entertainment that doesn't involve watching 4x4s trying to fall over.
The reason for announcing this meeting so early is to allow us to contact as many people as possible who were there............or who wish they had been.
If you want to tell us you want to come, or if you have names and addresses of people who should be invited, please e-mail c_berger@westnet.com.au.
Prices will be finalised a bit closer to the event, but will be in the region of $25 per vehicle + $5 per person, per day of course. So a couple will spend $105 for the 3 days.
Blair will allow the use of unregistered vehicles in the Park, (if people use helmets & common sense).
Hope to see all the old faces out there again, and yes, Neil is coming.........

Great idea.......we have v. fond memories of the best times we had at the Battle of the States with Neil @ Emu Creek. Sooooo much fun...who can forget the great mud tracks, hill climbs and the early morning aerobics!!!
Even tho it's a long way for us Sydneysiders, there were some willing to have a go. The Golden Eagle Club also helped out by running a stage too the years we went.
Hopefully all those that attended from Sydney will hear about it and make the reunion, we'll def. spread the word.
Cheers,
Celia & Eugene
Suzuki 4wd Club in those days and when the Vit was virtually standard.
