2H turboed 500,000 kays

I spoke with a fella yesterday who bought a 60 series diesel new in 1984. He put 2000 kays on it then had it turboed. He says it now has over 500 thou kays and has never had any work done to it (bar services) and doesn't use oil. He also recons it goes as well today as it did when new.

never had an injector service? never replaced or re-faced the rocker arms? he's pulling your leg, I think.

Why does he need to?? He's not trying to sell it to me in fact it's not for sale. The things you are talking about come under normal serviceing anyway

I thought you must need to service the injectors at lease ( change the tip )

I just sold my hj60 with 560K on the clock original motor. Used no oil, rockers where original with no wear. Serviced religously every 4k.
