Does anyone know Scotty's number - with the blue Hilux. I've lost his number.

Thanks

Sounds like you have a suspension lift issue not a Cross over Issue. You dont need a suspension lift to run Cross Over Steering.

You do with a diesel, arm hits the sump, and they want and engineers testing/report on the arms.

So modify the sump and Supply the test reports. Its not that you can not get this mod approved its that you dont want to.

Getting test reports is the hardest bit.
They all say for offroad use only.

What I really want to do is get in contact with Phil Harris which is
impossible, since all the engineers I talked to(which is all of the DOT approved ones but him) won't touch it, they say it is way to risky.
I want to find out what I exactly need to do before changing anything.

Shame but it seems we (The v8 Scout) also have been excluded from the comp........ Pretty directly too!!!!!! Oh well we will just have to take our fun and crowd pleasing moments elsewhere.... Congrats to those being able to compete still and for those in the same boat as us (non road going cars with budget way to small) bring on superior all terain!!!! :?

I know u will all miss the scout and our antics but rules are rules apparently!!!!!!!!!!!!! The chance of us gettin an A frame, chassis and motor change dot approved are slim to none. Matter of fact, I just put my ute over the pits and it failed! i only have 33's and a 2'' lift in a gq so there you go. Aint no way i'd get to the start line in mine let alone compete!

i worked out a rough order of overall placings, no idea about points, just placings based on the places of rd 1and2.
1st-38
2nd-28
3rd-8
4th-37,50,42
7th-56
8th-57
9th-16
10th-18,44
12th-27
13th-53

so who is out? and what are the points for each car overall?, can anyone still take out the season and not have to show up for rd3?
cheers Pete.

I would think you would have to at least show up for the 3RD round to win the Sereies, I dont think there are that many points in it....

You need to book Phil 3 months in advance for a phone call. Hard man to get a hold of but worth the wait. If you live on the southside try drive by one of his shops.

link, i spoke to QT about getting copies of the certs cause when i bought my car i didnt get the certs for the plates already done... they told me that the shop/engineer has to keep them for 7 years, if you give them the code of the officer that did it (its on the plate) they can tell you his name and give you a contact number for him...

i did this and got a copy of the certs for my turbo from 2001.

might be worth it if your keen to compete...

i've got the number for the mod plate section of QT that gave me the details of the engineer if you want it.

Jason I know Ian (my navi) owns Moorooka Automotive who did all my plates but I had some bright idea at the time that it'd be safer if I hung onto the paperwork (yeah right). As I said everything done to mine (bar lockers, tyres and suspension) is listed and complied with qld transport/rego papers but paper work is missing.

Linc,

in the certificate book there is a copy for the Customer (you) as well as a copy that has no perforations on it and is required to stay in the book.

I've been advised that Transport Regulations state that the book copy can not be removed or destroyed for a period of 7 years.

I found this out when I enquired with an engineer for a copy of a certificate some time back, and he said that he didn't keep copies and to contact the business that he used to work for, as they were required by transport regulation to keep a copy for 7 years.

You might have to get Ian to look through his old books.

Mate - you get the book & I'll bring the pen. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

(get him to photycopy the book - that is acceptable even to a transport inspector)
