Hose under the intake split, what else to do?

Post by crosswire »

Ello All!

I have an 11/93 80 series 4.5l petrol with 280,000KMs. A water by-pass hose has a rather long split in it and needs to be replaced. The hose comes from up underneath the intake manifold bends around a few times and goes back into the block.
I figured I may as well do as much work as I can while doing this to make it easy. Take the intake manifold off for easier access? Do the PHH (Pesky heater hose as the ih8mud.com guys call it)? Valve cover gasket and clearances?
Anything else I should do at the same time?

Pile on your reccommendations please!
