Some help with my "new" Patrol......

Post by kombi »

A week back I bought a 2002 model 3.0l turbo diesel Patrol DX.
It's only done about 80k on the clock and is a nice vehicle even though it's the base model.
BUT.......it didn't come with the owners manual.
So I don't know where the jack is or what it should look like (scissor/hydraulic) and I also don't know how to fold the middle row of seats (behind the driver) up.
I think it's a GU model but here's a pic or 2 so you guys know which one it is.....

Hey, yep it's a GU.
The middle seats have a tilt adjuster on the sides of them, one per seat (closet to the door) pull it up and fold the seats down and forward, there will be a long bar cliped under the seat, this is for your hydrolic bottle jack that is located in your cargo area, there should be a removeable panel section on the inside back wall (other side of filler cap) your jack and a smll tool kit shold be stored there.

the other thing is to remove the "stone guard" off the bonnet, as it affects air flow into the intercooler...

Thanks lads.
The tool kit is gone but have got the stuff for the jack.
Unfortunately the tyre iron isn't there so now I'm going to have to source one.
I tried with a wheel brace today and it was near well impossible to shift and din't really fit the wheel nuts properly.

The first lever on the side of the seat will allow you to fold the seat forward.
There is a second lever just behind that, to fold the seat over into the footwell, and you will need to lower the headrest or remove it to go all the way over.

Thanks guys.
Sorted the seat, jack and wheel nut issues.
The stone guard is also gone.
Just need to fit the spots I have for it now.
Cheers & God Bless
