Hi all,
I was out 4wd'ing today and the zuk fell over into some mud..... Most exciting to say the least.
Anyway only damage was on the rear drivers side panel above the fuel tank filler. It is pushed in a fair bit and runs around the window.
What is the best way to push this out, or is it possible with it double thinness crap? I have and 85 hard top?

its that ENORMOUS arial that made the zook "fall over", and it caused all the damage.
invest in a set of pannel beating "dollies and hammers", a port-a-power and a gas plant.
i would suggest getting a slide hammer, removing the arial mount. welding some washers on to the pannel. allpying a little heat ti the BIG creases and GENTLY tapping the worst of the dent out.
get most of it out from the outside then, and only then would i look at tapping/pushing the inner skin out.
unfortunatly that pillar is the strong one (because of the door hinge).
oh and i would remove the rear door and the side glass as well.

Yes i have considered chopping the back off...... not sure what it would do to the structure of the vehicle though.....
The plate for the huge antenna has another plate on the inside the same size with welded nuts on it.
How exactly do you sort out the indent in the C pillar behind the window as it is dented in but not the whole thing?

well it did smash some glass.... my mirror that was burried about 1/2 foot in the ground.........
snapped my snorkel off, already glued that back on..
was pretty slow when we hit, my mate put the video of it on youtube already, easy pulling her back over thank god....

It seems to me you have a four way choice:
1, Leave it as is (Honor badge)
2, Professional repair ($$$)
3, Cut back off (to make some aborted looking softtop.)
4, Cut and weld into extra cab and put on LWB chassis.
Does this look familiar ??...........

My young bloke had a simaler light roll on a hard top , he was short on bucks but big on time
By using timber and jacks he actually striaghtened it out , If you have accsess to a porta power , or can hire one for the day you should be able to pump that out no worries .
the thing with porta powers is placing it in the right spot remembering the piont where your placing the base has to be strong enough .Cut youself some timbers the right thinkness to go between the panels ,
sons one was creased right along the gutter from windscreen to tail gate

Yeah i only finished the PVC snorkel head the otherday... Ended up using 2 X 22deg then a 90deg cam up ok.
Where can you get a lwb chassis easily? I was going to do a engine change sometime soon so maybe i should be factoring it in?
