lifting a coily zook ?
lifting a coily zook ?
Hi guys and gals. Im new here. I have a '91 shorty zook. SPOA,2" lifted springs,2" longer shackles, series 3 rock hopper,CIG locker up front repsositioned rear upper shock mount and some 32" Mongrels. My question is.....I have a mate who has recently purchased himself a 97' coily. Hes busting to get this thing lifted but cant find anyone who does a kit for them. Any help would be much appreciated i'll try to get a pic up of my zook soon !. Thx.
contact sam (overkill, i think hes thinking about playing with the coiler)
secondly i have one (still) i got lovell coils for it 2.5 inches higher and got kombi shocks for the back ( the eye on the shocks had to be changed with that from a coilers) and modded the front shocks with a 2 inch longer shaft and added an inch lond collar to raise the spring seat to suit the lift.
total price would be under a grand.
coils - lovell
rear shocks - fulcrum
modded front - my old man did it.

i don't need no stinking quote for my sig. line!
My zook.
Nah my zook is actually pretty stable on and off road. I added a set of '15x8 Speedy desert rat' rims...they are jeep rims and fit great. they have the widest offset i could find. They require the widest flexy flares you can get your hands on but they seem to even the lift out well.
Thanks for the super fast replies guys i will pass on the info !

Cant help ya with a kit form but as prev said 2 1/2 coils 2" body lift and he will clear 31"s series 1 rocky or 3 and a couple of lokkas ie air and overkill's new custom air lokka for the front and the little suker will drive most shite ..........mine went really well with only rear air lokka and series 1 rocky with that lift and 31"s ( but with out question i can drive it!!)
I ran 2 1/2 king springs
rear procomp es9000's which the part no,s of the box are No.918509
the front i ran and utilmate 2" lift shock but had cut and shortened the shock tower so that it was real close to bottomin out on up but gave me a little more droop ....i was also runnin bout a 30mm ring around the lower of the shock where the coil seat sits to raise the lift aswell as i had a front bar with a bit of weight........................
