Awesome news Chris!!
Hopefully us Aussies can get used to giveaways!
I desparately need a Trail Gear steer kit for my current project cause at the moment you can drive in 3 different lanes of traffic without even touching the steering wheel.
THE BEAST!!!!
It's project time!
Steering arm hits the U bolts at the moment, stupid sagged springs. Makes turning right fun!
Time to bob the chassis?
Big plans for this truck, including a v6 conversion, dual cases, 37" trepadors, 4 link coil rear, lockers and more!
and it's even the right colour, reminds me of this one, but newer
Please let me win

Love a Trail Gear Hi-steer kit for my project BJ42.
I pick it up next weekend & have been already notified by current owner that it can have a mind of it's own. I was in the market so once I take ownership pics will be coming.
Here is a pic of it.

Hey Chris, I haven't been on Pirate for a while due to commitments, how is the Zook Samuri going. Last time I was on you were on the second motor due to ventilating the first.

here is pic's of the steering set up i will be useing if i don't win the hi-steer kit

Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set
Does it really matter? 99% of everything we now buy comes from China or another Asian Country. Even the new Hilux is built in Taiwan. China is no longer this 3rd world country that makes inferiour products. They are a country that makes Quality products at a very good price that can be passed onto the consumer. Dont forget who made your Toyota. It defianatly wasnt the good old US of A.Hrundi V Bakshi wrote:does this come out of the usa or does it come out of china or some shit like what the PBB guys say?
that's awesome dude, how about we all bag the shit out of someone trying to give us something for free!Hrundi V Bakshi wrote:does this come out of the usa or does it come out of china or some shit like what the PBB guys say?

This is what happens when the steering breaks luckily no one was not really hurt after 4 rolls we were very lucky.
So I don't want this to happen again. I am currently rebuilding it and my wife is already hassling me about costs so if I have to to buy these arms she is going to have my balls
Here is the current progress of the chopped 4runner
Thanks to trail gear for the supporting RHD Toyota's

This is my 4runner, and the reason I would love the TRAIL GEAR Hi steer kit is thus....
I lost an arm in a wheeling accident and it is hard to keep in 1 lane (ok, i Am fully abled but i still cant steer the bugger without x-over steer and with a 3" lift.)
My steeriing box is shagged out so i gotta get a new one soon anyways.
I love my truck but i also love my wife and our washing machine needs replacing, so i cant afford to buy both at this stage..
Ive never won anything in my life.
The truck goes wheling most weekends and is a daily driver. If you threw in some big Trail Gear stickers i will plaster them all over my rig for some FREE advertisement.
Thanks in advance..

Was thinking the same.RUFF wrote:I cant beleive that TG are giving away a complete cross over steering kit and hardly anyone is entering this competition
I'm not entirely sure what will and won't fit on my car. The old HD tie rod off my now parted out hilux would have been the right length. The 0 series diff are however somewhat wider.
Why do i need new steering, well two reasons, bent tie rods are sometimes regarded as unpredictable and welded cross over arms suck!!! While I don't have a picture of my wonderful welded arm i'm sure you know how "fun" they can be when they come loose or crack.
Funny thing is that some knucklehead NSW blue slip guy passed it
I need to change it, i've been busy installing my coilovers , my other 1/2 has been busy looking at buying a house you know the rest.
Well I'm guessing that they didn't think everyone would carry on like a big bunch of sooky girls over it like they have........
I'll give it a shot.
Well this is why i need the cross over kit.
Thats full travel and extension, its bloody pathetic.
I have all the rest of the gear, shocks, IFS leaves etc, everything except high steer!
...oh in the pic, i got stuck there, damn bald rubber.
More front flex could have helped.....
Cheers Justin

Hi All
Might as well have a go on behalf of my Father and his Hilux.
Why he needs highsteer, well the car is currently in complete rebuild, and the current tie rod is bent to buggery anyway.
PIC 1: The car when we bought it (what do you expect for $400)
PIC 2: The car as it is at the moment, yes still a very long way to go.
PIC 3: A sample of what condition the car was in when we bought it; and why we are completely rebuilding the poor thing (not to mention a completely siezed motor).
Even if i dont win, this might offer some 'light' humour to some readers anyway .
BTW, Chris Geiger do you guys sell the RHD IFS steering box? Or would we have to source our own?
Cheers
Aaron.
