(New?) Nite Stalker HID lights?

Post by physh »

Anyone seen these (must be relatively new) Nite Stalker (225 series I think) HID lights?

Come in a twin pack, same size and look as a Cibie, they're HID and only $699 for the pair with the ballasts and wiring harness included!

(That was at the local 4WDMegastore)

There's a smaller pack as well (200 series I think, can't quite remember), but for $649 they're not that much less than the big ones.

Anyone seen or tried these at all?

How do they stack up to anything else?

LF 240 XGT's for instance?

Cheerio

Haven't seen them specifically, however, once you've seen HID you wont go back.
XGT's are shit once you've seen HID's, generally.

Disclaimer: XGT's may very well be a great light and the term shit is used as a comparision not an assesment of XGT's.
That is all

Yeah I've heard the same sort of thing - but XGT's will be about $600 installed... and these HID's are about $800 installed...

A $200 premium to have factory-fitted, warranted, HID lights up front...

Can choose spread, spot, or one of each too.

On another note... Does flashing HID's cause real problems?

I have had a set of these as a demo set with 50w HID insert and for the price they are a great light with or without HID . They had good light with the HID out to about 1000m with the spot and with the driving light we had 550/650m with a spread of about 50m and for the first 300m the nissan had daylight in front of it ( The 70w HID headlight helping out) I can supply you a 35w or a 50w kit in the same light $699 for 35w or $749 for a 50w.
As for the XGT I will have new fitting kits for them and they will be available I hope in 3/4week
