navara front arms on rodeo/ jackeroo

Post by known 2 »

hey a few years ago a mate of mine did a 5 or 6i lift on his early 90's rodeo using navara ifs arms said they bolted in and gave him a couple of inch lift plus winding his torsen bars up alows him to equal the hight of his sprung over rear end.

has anyone heard of this. or know if the same can be done to a late 90's jackeroo?

well if it was done to a rodeo than a jackaroo would be very similar, only the arm length changes through the models I think.

you would have to measure them up I guess, but you would still run into major cv troubles if you dont do the diff drop. since 33x12.5 is the biggest you can fit anyway, im not sure there is much point. from my expirience i would recommend 2 + 2, 33's, dual arb lockers.
3.2 Holden jackaroo, 2" body lift, 2" suspension lift, balljoint flip, Safari snorkel, custom bullbar, Warn 9k winch, 2" diff drop, hd steering arms, f&R arb lockers.

Diff drop is the easier part. Hardest part would be sourcing the right tie rods ends to suit the new angles between the draglink and the steering knuckles.
If you saw the crap that hangs down under V6 models you would understand why extra suspension height will help.
The 2" t/bar wind up and 2" lifted leaves just isn't enough.

you can easily have your tie rods made at your local engineering shop, thats what I did when I was looking for more strength.
