converting gq auto to manual

i am about to convert my mates gq pootrol auto to manual, it is an efi, is the computer or ecu different from manual to auto?or can you get away with the auto one? thanks heaps

The auto has its own computer.

no, engine computer is the same, as said AUTO has its own computer.
