Quickie. My new surf has 120000klm's and if it has a timing belt it's getting very close to change time.

Timing belt
Well, great that you are replacing it.
They should be done every 100,000, but I stick to 80,000. If it is the 2lte (2.4) get them to replace the idler pully and bearing plus tensioner. If it is the 3 litre, look seriously at replacing the idler gear bolt (they have a weak one from the factory).
If you are at all unsure if the belt has been replaced when you buy a vehicle, replace it anyways. Cheap insurance. Never, ever trust a sales guy.
