Early EA motors were either 3.2 or 3.9 litre. Later motors all 4.0 litre, but all the other stuff is the same.
ok so in saying that i should just swap the heads??
then rewire,
run a VL fuel pump..
and it should be good for another heep of kw's and drivability?
Sounds easy when ya say it quick don't it ?

but

yeah, I believe so.

pay to check out the Ford forums anyway, there's blokes there right into the modern stuff, far more than I am.

Theres a list of all falcon 6 engines and their capacities. (3/4 down page)

At the top of the page on the right you can see a 170 straight 6, this is more like what the 200 ci looks like.

Your right chimp, would be a great time to whack in a later model ford 6, as it should pretty much bolt straight in ! ED 4.0 MPFI, would need manual computer, and pre smartlock. not too difficult, and fairly easy to get hold of too.
The 170 was non Xflow with inlet manifold cast as part of the head.
No Xflow 170 was ever built. Many Xflow and non Xflow 200s were built.

Wikipedia has it all very very wrong if they don't reckon Ford made 200 Cuis in both engine types.

Cheers
