Just a pic of a quick mod i did to the steering idler on the weekend.
Installed a couple of grease nipples so it's a bit easier to keep the bushes lubed.

Nice idea. Does anyone know if from other cars we can use the idler arms or the pitmans? Here in Greece the Daihatsu parts are very expensive so any ideas that some parts from other cars would be good to know.

Nothing has come up so far, and idler arm issues are very common.
Steering parts are not cheap in Australia, was quoted over $300 AU
for a new idler - with useable second hand ones being impossible to
obtain ( at least for me ).
Whilst I havn't tried it yet, mostly because I don't have a spare idler -
i believe bearings instead of bushes would make a big difference.
Even with new polyurethane idler bushes, you can see the idler twisting
which just can't be good for the steering feel and precission.
