noisy power steering

Post by DR Frankenstine »

I have a hj60 with 35's and when the weather is cold...0-5 deg... the power steering is quite noisy. Still works fine just noisy. I have changed the oil and put some conditioner in it but no difference.

Not a belt :?: i was going to say it may not like the colder temps (bearings maybe bit smaller/tighter but it's still 2/tenths of nothing) but once it's at operating temp it wouldn't matter. Interesting one

When it's cold and I pushing hard my PS with 37" you ear the scream from belts .. no doubts ..

Other issue it's at least in 80 series the FSM recomends AFT for power steering dextron II or plus ..
