Defender for sale

Post by disco95 »

I know a Defender 130 single cab 200TDI (I"m 99% certain of these specs) for $5500. She's a little rough on the outside, but was well looked after for most of her life. I'd be looking closely at the past 12 months service records. Other then that previous owner took good care. I gave the current owner a front drive shaft, when he tried to change the unis on it he seperated it, it binded..now front shaft is cactus. Needs new front shaft (which is $500 from Land Vehecle Spares in western Sydney)
When he gets around to replacing the shaft he'll be asking $7000 for it.
LVS has told me they're selling for upto $10 000.
I know he's going to ask me to order the shaft next week...I think this vehicle is a bargain for $5500 and if I had $5500 I'd buy it.
PM me if you're interested.

no such thing in Aus as a 200tdi 130. either a 200tdi 110 or a 300tdi 130.

i have a front shaft, 150 and its his. It will definately fit a 300tdi, but unsure of a 200tdi, if you send me closed measurements of the existing shaft, i'll check.

Sounds like a bargain, pending nothing terminal ie chassis rust, bottom end etc. If its a 200tdi 110, i have a friend after one.

Pretty certain it's a 130. Must be a 300tdi then.
I'll ask him about the shaft, he cant measure his as he seized it trying to put it back together.
