Or this one... different day at Spanish Steps. Mark was the FIRST person to EVER drive the waterfall.... I asked him if he thought he could do it...: "I'll give it a shot". Just as well coz it meant an easier recovery on the exit when Troy got a bit sideways on the rocks outta there...

Here's a F55 ute I'm working on at the moment.

Plenty of rust and the motor's rather rooted after being run out of oil by a previous owner but slowly I'm making a bit of progress.

I think time is taking its toll on the Daihatsu's out there.

I still see a few around town, but driven by a different set of people
than those really interested in offroad.

I know there are a few "hardcore" types in Melbourne but it seems
they are all in different clubs or only go out with their mates.

Even the Hatsu wreckers have noticed the drop off in supply.

So Melbourne Daihatsu owners..... lets stick together. As there is no
Daihatsu club ( and probably not enough to make it worthwhile starting one ) - why not join me at the Suzuki Club ?

Similar sized vehicles ( and lots of others ), good trips, and great people.
lets form a "subculture".....

Your more than welcome to come on a club event anytime...

We have a three day snow trip this Weekend to Mt Skene, with a group
doing a day trip there also on Saturday only..

we also have a social day trip ( easy, with a play in the snow if we want... ) up around McAdams gap on the 25th of this month and a trip to
the Pyrenees ( easy/medium ) early next month

Hopefully mine will be on the road for the 25th... and it would be really
good not to be "the Feroza"

I havent had the pig at home since OBC theres a
shot of her in action at THE OBC in the overlander mag
& another shot in the 4x4australia mag, & a 4ish page
write up on her in the dirtcomp mag,,its good to see
a fatroza on sterroids,getting the same coverage as all
the nissans & big budget/big$$$$$ rigs,,,
sorry i havnt added any new pics to the pigletracing site,
I have heaps to add, from cutting the feroza cab to a ute,
to grafting it to the scat chassis,making the cages,& comp
fitting out the interior, not to forget the addition of
BLING/BLING/& more BLING

A couple of shots after playing in the clay today.

for the Claws... Big boghole that a couple of the locals got stuck in in their Lux's. Bloody slippery clay, drove through half way ok with not much throttle, lost forward moment when the carp clogged up the treads, but got through no worries with a bit of boot and wheelspin to clean the treads

AJ looks like you had a sweet time..what do you think
of the claws?? I have been competing on them now
for years,,found that other extreme brands were too
ridged in the side walls,for the weight of a hatsu,&
wouldnt bag out enough.they do luv hi spinnin to
clear the tread,when wheelin I run 8psi in rear &
12psi in front,works a treat

I like them. I do find they require a different driving style in the wet though, or you can find yourself digging holes pretty quickly.

Haven't had an opportunity to really explore their capabilities yet, but I certainly rate them a big improvement on my old BFG muddies. Only real concern I've had has been lateral grip but again, you adjust your driving style to that.

indeed it's one of the slower moving forums i've been on. though my feroza still gets plenty of use and abuse!

though sunday afternoon after a trip out to the beach and going along 5 k's of very rough rock exposed tracks have a hole in my radiator!

looks like the core had a very slight seep there that the rough stuff has opened up. time for another one.

Taken after one of our 4x4 group mud runs south of Cairns about 4k's of mud holes. Amazing on the trip into the city the following day no one seemed to be interested in getting near me on the road no one behind for the mud balls falling off as well.

yeh it looks funny. i was welding sill sliders so its easier to get underneath.
