Man I thought you were turning into that black cab driver in Total recall. That third insectg arm pops out of his chest...
Oondy does make some sh#t drop hot arms at really competitive prices.
I have heard mixed reports about the swivel/joint chassis end of the 3rds arms.

Re: help I'm getting 3rds arms
I've got a set of Snake arms and they flex better than the 3rds ones. Both are very expensive and there are plenty of others making a similar product for much less as others have mentioned. If you want to spend the big bucks go with the Sake arms, but you are better off with the cheaper ones as they do just as good a job for much less. All drop arms are still limited as to how much flex you will get. None of the drop arms flex like a five link or three link + panhard. What they do is make the car drive much better and give a bit more flex than standard.flexit wrote:I'm thinking of getting a set of 3rds front arms .??? and a set of longer 5inch shocks to go with my 4inch springs.??. if you have a set of the 3rds and or a set of longer shocks what is your opinion of them.?? and would you have got something else or Ar you happy with them??. or do they give to much flex????.and the shocks should i get longer then 5inch to go with my 4inch springs.??????????. 3rds Ar they the go or not?????? have you had any experience with these things ????????
I don't have a good shot that shows the flex you get out of them, but you can get a reasonable idea between the two shots as to how far the tyre travels up into the guard and drops down. The front tyre probably only drops another couple of inches in the first pic before it starts to come off the ground. there is plenty more in the shock, but the arms are the limiting factor due to the torsional forces applied through the diff housing from the radius arm mounting points. As I said, it's nothing like a five link, cross link etc. but the car handles very well on the road, it's a daily driver, can drive at 110km/hr all day and has no bump steer or other bad habits lifted 4b's can have.

Hope this helps.

Obvisouly the prices may vary but I was quoted $550 devlivered (ghetto spelling ftw) for a set to match a 4" lift. Doesn't include bushes ie; good chance to put brand spanking new ones in both ends

xlink big o arms
mick thanks m8. that's got a bit of flex . I'm thinking a set of big o's arms 10mm longer to get 37s on and the xlink id be happy with that.

I think you should talk to OONDY about the engineering if thats the way you want to go.BowTieGQ wrote:Sweet. Now can we have a close up of the machined end that goes into the chassis. Oondy said the stubs are welded on. Wonder what it looks like and if an engineer would like that. This is where Oondy comes in.......
