Torq master make them. They are U.S. owned but manufactured in Australia. I have enquired about them and they are not available in Australia. They are a copy of Lock-rite (with minor improvements to avoid copyright).

They are being marketed in the USA and Canada as "Aussie lockers.....from the birthplace of extreme 4wheeling".

What cheeses me off is that no one in Australia has one and very few people have heard from them. But that's marketing.

I think search has become the litle nerdy guy that hangs around on the edge of group and doesn't get noticed by anyone. then becomes rich and famous and you wish you had noticed him back then :D

depends on your opinion, my opinion is i dont like automatic lockers, i prefer to be able to turn off my lockers and know they are off and know when they are on. but if your looking for a cheap solution a detroit might be the go. should be alright for the front.

lockers

Post by Monty »

Automatic lockers are better in the rear as u dont loose steering offroad with a rear locker. put one in the front though and when turning on tight tracks it can be a pain,

I have picked up my new side gear for the detroit today and will be putting it back in the rear of my rig on the weekend and fixing up an old air locker to be put in the front to make it a twin locked weapon

another problem with lockrites is your cv's are always
loaded up especially going downhill.
I have a detroit in the rear and an american powertraxx
lockrite in the front and I am pissed off at
breaking cv's all the time.
I believe with an air locker they would last longer
because you have the ability to unlock it.
