Highly Modded TJ going through Fowles Auctions Bris tomorrow

Post by RUFF »

Was just up at ManheimFowles Auctions in Brisbane and they have a Yellow TJ going through their Damaged section. It has no visable damage but is a Statuatory Write off for some reason so can not be re-registered. It doesnt appear to have any Salt Water Damage.

http://www.manheimfowles.com.au/find_bu ... iew_detail

Things i noticed it has,

ARB Lockers front and rear,
XD9000i winch,
Terra Flex lower arms and it appears matching springs,
Rancho In cab Adjustable shocks,
SYE,
Near new 33x15.5x15 MT ATZ on what from memmory were 15x10 or possibly 12 MT Classic 2s Although im not sure on the rim style.
Long Range Tank,
LPG with what appeared to be around a 30LTR tank mounted behind the rear seat.
Alpine Stacker,
K&N Pod type filter.
ARB Steel front bar,
Some real flash looking sliders incorperating a step mounted to the body.

There is prob lots more i missed as im not a jeep guy.

The only damage i did notice was the rear shaft was toast from the forklift. This thing is in mint condition. The only way i could explain the Stat write off title is its possibly allready a re-birth. But it would be perfect for someone who allready has a TJ they want to build up as it has all the big $ parts on it.

Just thought i would post this up here for anyone interested. Its about 3/4 the way through the auction that starts at 12PM out near the Brisbane Airport.

Hmmm interesting.....
"write-off" could be because of the unapproved Long arm conversion - but that should not be a stat-writoff......
Would makae a good parts donor rig.....if it was closer I;d be interested....but frigged if I could be bother hauling it back here....

They would never ever class any vehicle a Stat Write off due to bolt on mods.

Agree.
Even cutting brackets off etc isn't grounds for Stat-write-off.....
So how much did it sell for??

Stolen recovered get written off. If the owner has been payed out. Some times they even get stat writ off so the chassis and body can never be used again.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....
