I went into this a couple of years ago with dual cabs and came to the conclusion that they are the same. The chassis is totally different of course, but the bodies are the same. It is, however, difficult to find someone who really knows. Toyota was hopeless and wreckers were pretty unhelpful, just wanted to sell me one so I could try it. The main thing to measure would be the distance between the body mount points, both length ways and width. Good luck with it.

The only difference is the hole in the floor for the gearsticks. No im not taking a guess here. They are interchangable.

You meen you want to know if your 4Runner interrior will fit into a 2WD Extra Cab?

If that is correct then most of it will at least up till the front seats. The trim from there back is different. But all the dash, seats, front carpet will all fit. Depending on wether you have a 2door 4Runner or a 4Door 4Runner you may also need the doors to suit the extra cab and the door trims as well.

you also need to add 2 body mounts to fit xtra cab to 4runner chasis as the rear mounts dont line up by about 12 in the rad support and a pillar mts are fine just the back ones
the fuel tank can also cause grief coz the runner chassis is shorter than xtra cab the runner tank is also mounted 2in higher so some minor mods to be done
FOR SALE hilux parts all models
have most parts available from early to late

Sorry Mick is also correct on this. I never thought to mention it as originally i thought you were swaping a 2wd extra cab onto a 4wd extra cab.

They will fit it just takes a little work. I have a 95 2wd with an RV6 front bar on it sitting outside in the driveway. And to the average joe they couldnt tell the difference.

They are hardly even noticable. If you knew what you were looking at you would notice. Its nothing like you would expect.

yeh cause the bumper sticks in under the fender normall, so i guess with yours there would be a very small gap there, probably no bigger than 5mm
