jackaroo tyres

been getting mixed comments by hunting back through the threads....please answer this

the rear tyres are almost gone, so it's time to save up for some new tyres...but which to pick...
stock is 245/70/16's (29")

245/75/16's (30")
265/75/16's (31")

will they fit on a stock jack with no rubbing?

-jackaroo, petrol, 3.5L, '98 standard track,

if they both fit, which would your preferences be? and why?

i understand that thinner tyres are better for on road, sand, mud and fuel consumption, whereas wider is better for rocks and aesthetics...

Mate i got a frontera.. and have ran stock.. 265/70r16 (30x10) maxxis bravos and for a allround tire there awesome..

Id say they should fit on the jack.. with out rubbing

thanks for the reply, i am hoping that other jack owners can also post up their tyre sizes/brand to know exactly what fits, and their performance (the more the better, as it will make it easier for future searchers)

I`v been running cooper ST 265/75/16 on my 96 jackaroo with no problems
just about to replace them with new one`s thinking going to the slightly smaller tyre 265/70/16 for around town.On the weekend i run 32/11.5 bfg mud tyre but they rub a little on full lock

I have a 2001 Jack and I run 265/70R16 Maxxis with 16X8 mags and no rubbing at all.

My wheels and tyres "stick out" more than std, I even have the factory flares and still no contact between metal and rubber.

It does look awsome though, even if I say so myself.....

I can't make my pics small enough to put on here otherwise I would show you how it looks, I can send you a pic of it if you like.

I'm sure you will have no worries with tyres this size, also the 265/70R16 will fit on your std alloys.

how to use it:

install
right click on a picture, select "resize image"
choose the size you want

upload the new file (labelled with the size at the end of it) to photobucket or something like that
