Post by Nuckingfuts »

Steering is really hard to turn one way, (almost cant) and not much easier the other way, am thinking this is the p/s box?if so can it be fixed or do i just get another one? if anyone could tell me whats goin on would be a great help. its an LN106 solid axle hilux with power steering.

THANKS

When mine went, It was the pully seized.
I had smoke comming in from the belt.
I cut the belt and replaced the pully. All good.

Also the PS pump on the belt moves if not secured by both bolts and it can break off one of the bolts. I had replaced it twice before I gave up and put a nut and bolt in the adjustable section.

I had the same trouble as above and repaired it the same way. Haven't had any more trouble yet.
