Navara ZD30 Turbo questions?

Post by mjc85 »

If I were to get a snorkel, change out to a good air filter and have a good exhaust fitted would I have any noticeable gains? What sort of exhaust setup would you advise?

Cheers

too much of a how longs a piece of string.
Some people may think the gains are worth $1000, others may be pissed with the tiny gain in their opinion...

Might be better going to a diesel place and having the pump work nad shit done instead.. which will probably inc an exhaust...

start with exhaust.

i don't usually regard snorkels as performance enhancing. very handy for getting clean air, especially as the navara has a hole in the inside guard which lets water/mud splash into the air intake :(

i would everything to protect the motor first. these things are fairly highly tuned in stock form. EGR, butterfly mod, exhaust, intercooler, catch can first. then look at one of the tuning box's available.

On my zd30,I increased the dump pipe to 2+3/4 inch as well as complete exhaust,no muffler, only ressy. The most noticable thing that happened was that it seemed to rev more freely,it also decreased the amount of turbo lag, which on my rig was quite noticable due to 285/85/16 tyres.I also run a k&n filter.

I'm very happy with the gains achieved so far,the only thing left to do is fit a rapid tuning module or similar.

My 2c worth.
