factory locker q

we have a 4.1:1 gq rear factory locker in my mates hilux and we want to fit 4.6s can we retain the rear locker or is the 4.6 offset too diferent to the 4.1

i know you cn change to 4.3 so cant see why 4.6 is out of the question.
as far as i kno all all the crown wheels n pinnions are the same offset
