Hope you're cashed up dude. If you aren't doin the vast majority of it yourself the labour costs are going to run into the many thousands of dollars, and thats on top of parts.

If it was me, Id be keeping an eye on the forum classifieds for some 6o series diffs, remove all old suspension/diffs/steering links/bracketry from your vit and ship it to overkill in that form. It will save a bit of cash on labour and removing shit is easy, Its the putting it back together which is the problem.

I would also keep the 1.6 as it is a solid and proven engine, you need gearing, not an engine swap. Have a search and nut out a list of the parts needed, add up their cost and then x4. That should be close to how much you will be spending.

Have a read of A1's, Antt's, and overkill's build ups. More than likely the photos will be gone but it will give you an idea of what your looking at.

Also, look here: a1s build
http://www.zukikrawlers.com/showthread.php?t=3335

makoy's build
http://www.zukikrawlers.com/showthread.php?t=5816

Lots of good vit (sidekick) build ups on that site and pirate. As the other guys said, SEARCH.

Or you could just offer Dan (A1) a reasonable amount for his car.
