yep got quoted $300/tyre fitted and balanced for 285/75/16 a 2 weeks before the promo, now the cheapest they can do is $345/tyre + fitting and balancing. The highest I got was $389/tyre

So much for 1 free tyre and I was chasing 6 and still couldnt do a better price

My bro in law got them same price as normal, even with the sale on, so a good saving to be had.
Although the guy was not impressed about giving him the deal, and left a wheel nut off the front left wheel.

O'Neills tyres state on thier site that 4WD tyres are excluded, but Goodyear say they are included in the promo... I wonder who is pocketing the money for the free one ;)

friend of mine just got quoted $349 per tyre !!! ( May as well get 36, 13.5, 15 Swampers for $375)

so he then showed them an invoice for another member of the club who bought wranglers at $240 odd per tyre, and promptly got a generous discount....

dont let them screw you around !! lying %$)^.....

Of course the tyre places are not going to give you a great price per tyre but I got 4 285/75/16 MTRs for what worked out at $255 each when you spread the price over 4. Thats $30 cheaper than I was able to get them 3 years ago, so in my opinion still a good deal.

$255 per tyre is about what i would call "normal"

These turkeys charging up to $380 per tyre are just kidding themselves.

I understand that if you buy them at say $340 per tyre, and get one free, your pretty much paying the same price as you would for the four of them at $255 a tyre normal price.

There is no "special" here, its a con.

Id suggest paying no more than $800-900 for the four, or else your simply not getting any advantage of the "free" tyre

for a 285, I'd call that price unbelieveable for an MTR - maybe for a WowwowQuack crap tire. around 9-10mths ago, I paid $260 which nobody believed or could match, since that there were 2 price rises..

for a 33x12, it would possibly achieveable.

285/75R16 MTR cost more than $255, you are dreaming if you can get em that cheap.

I'd rather use my 15" wheels offroad, than 16"

If you want Maxxis, get prices from Bob Jane T marts. They have great prices on Maxxis at the moment. 35" Mudzillers for $270, 35" Creepy's $345. Bring your own wheels as they are cheaper elsewhere.
