custom snorkel mounts/brackets

Post by joelt »

just wondering those of you who have made a custom snorkel, what sort of brackets you used to mount it to both the guard and pillar? and how did you do it? i'm really struggling to figure out what to use and how to mount it. i've got aluminium pipe and rubber bends.
anyone?

Ok bear with me.

For the guard, we welded 2 square pieces of flat to the tube that ran along the guard. We then tapped and die a hole in each one. Drilled the appropriate size holes in the guards ,and used a coupld of bolts with silicone to bolt it to the guard. We used a couple of rubber pieces as spacers.

For the pillar, we welded a couple of brackets to the tube, and then once again tap and die a couple of holes in the pillar, to screw the brackets to.

Might see if i can get some piccies for you later on.
