finding good oil filter for sd33 mq??what make to get?

Post by zen »

as above..spin on filter...i cant find a good un here in the uk...

all (bar one i cant find anywhere.or remember name..dooh) take far to long on first startup to allow oil pressure to build up!! blueprint takes 30secs!!!!fram 10secs etc..

i assume its the inbuilt filter oneway valve being more two way than one, allowing the oil in filter to drain back to sump via pump, thus varying with different filters...

what do you use???is there a mod? i like my engine alot(sd33 turboed intercooler external oil cooler 2 1/2inch zoorst 1bar +boost etc...) goes like stink and need to find a cure for this or a decent filter!!oil pressure is good(25psi at tickover once hot..)

help..

Thats not the spin on type though.

I just use valvoline or a japanese one if the bloke i get em from has em. ive never had a problem with any filters, but mine prob has oil pressure up when it actually decides to fire

Find the genuine part number and do a cross reference on Donaldson or Fleetguard filters.
