87 Hilux Steering Damper

Post by Brainless »

Hey,

I just purchased a replacement steering damper for my Hilux but it appears to be different then the stock unit.

without having my hilux at work and not being able to get to it until the weekend when im planning on installing it i want to know if i have the right part.

The replacement unit has a Ball Joint at 1 end and a normal strut tower type thread at the other end, from memory mine has 2 ball joints.

does anybody have a picture of the stock unit or a diagram of how it mounts?

It will have a pin a 90* at the passenger side and a straight pin off the top of the dampner on the drivers side.
