I don't know much about Mitsubishi's but I have looked at Redbook value which is listed as follows:
1999 MITSUBISHI CHALLENGER
PA Wagon 4dr Man 5sp 4x4 3.0i
Prices based on km 120,000 - 200,000
Trade in price guide* $8,300 - $10,000
National average price - private sale* $10,700 - $13,500
Now I realise that this is based on up to 200,000kms and mine has 230,000 (which I have taken into account when putting a price on it) but mine also has 10mths rego ad has had timing belt and water pump done.
Am I asking to much for it? I need to get this sort of money for it or I keep it and just keep driving it.
Thanks
Linc

I paid $9900 for mine about 4 weeks ago and had a lot less kilometres on the clock (161), good condition (although yours does look in a lot better condition than mine going by your pics) and with good service record but was mainly due to the owner already returned overseas and needed a quick sale.
The majority that l had found were around the $14-16000 mark for private sellers but at dealers slightly lower around $10000.
I wouldn't look back now, am very pleased with it overall, patience might just be the key Linc.

Ok so I am about right with the price aye? Hope so cause as I said I need to get this sort of money for it or I keep it.
It's not like I have anything to hide on it - I've offered any sort of inspection of the vehicle.

yep. great car, but why pay $100 a tank when the patrol costs $20. then there is laon repayments, insurance, etc etc.j-top paj wrote:you selling yours already?pongo wrote:geez that sounds cheap. I was hoping to sell my 96 turbo diesel for that at least. its only got 200k on the clock and goes great
As soon as it comes back from the panel beaters ( new bonnet) then it gets detailed, then shes for sale.
pity, but thats life
Apparently yes, in the uk they run straight oil from the shops cause its cheaper than diesel.j-top paj wrote:cant use your "special blend" in it???
Main concern is forking out $1300 for reco injector pump plus the hassle of breaking down in the middle of nowwhere with 2 young kids If i get it wrong.
The patrol/s just seem to olove the special blend more than diesel from any servo. And now it has a nice elec fuel pump with bigger lines it revs real nice.
Wanna buy the Paj for the misses.
