I've searched but i can't find the post i was after. I remember reading about an american V8 engine mount that can be used on the left side of the 1.3?

I wonder whether the result of heavy duty mounts is more vibration? will it result in more stress else where? Generally speaking for any benefit in a modification is usually offset by a negative. We choose to modify because our preferred set of compromises are different to Suzuki's.

I would think : the larger the mount the less vibration but I may be wrong.
I can think of quite a few engine mounts that could be used instead of Genuine Suzuki.
Land Rover series 2. Volvo 1 & 2 series. Mazda 929.
larger engine mounts are going to be stiffer. and therefore absorb less vibration. and transfer more through to the chassis. That said I would like to hear from someone who has done it, the result may be negligible.

you would be right if the larger mounts were made out of softer rubber. you would get the same strength and less vibration. similar concept to a lift kit. you can either make longer springs at the same or lower rate where you will get a softer ride. If you just increase the stiffness of the coil then you get you lift but a stiff ride as well.
