OBC DVD.

I have just finished watching the 2007 OBC DVD and I have to say the in car footage fron Todd Robards and Ivan Vella chasing Rohan and Wayne at Denian was great, for me, it really makes you want to get back out there and get into it.
Congats to you guys for the footage, I thought it made the DVD worth watching a second time.

It was obvious that they were struggling for footage to fill three hours with the event being cut short, however, your right Laurie. The in car foot was great. And to have some in car for a complete stage was good to give other people a perspective as to what we go through.

Laurie i particularly liked that bit were your pointed the Bush rangie skywards, although as with all footage it didn't look half as steep or hairy on the DVD as it did when we were there watching.

hey lorrie,how you dooin,,just as well there was no in car from
your beasty,as per the above mentioned stage,because all we
would have seen is a lot of blue sky,have you managed to
clean those funny brown stains off the navs seat,as there usually
out of the car when that sort of thing is happening...
you should see about cummin out to cliff hanger for 08,,allready
alotr of QLDers booked in..big prize $$$$ event , small entry $$$,
entry covers all meals,no transport stages,support crews & spares
welcome,camp with wives & kids(so we dont have to cuddle our
navies for warmth any more)& much more

Hey Dan, mate it was an unusual feeling sitting in the car not knowing whether it was going to stay there or finish up on it's side, that's why I would not let the navi out although looking at it on the DVD it looks fine just pointing skywards, anyway did you not drive that section with a flat, certainly better than my effort.

Piglet, mate I would love to do Cliffhanger but 08 is booked out.
After next years OBC which will be my last, I will get my entry in for 09 Cliffhanger, I'd love to do it.

I'm also thinking about Tamworth later this year are you going.

yes Dan is 100% right there,,I would luv a doller for each time
I herd those imfamous words "THATS IT,LAST TIME ILL DO THAT OR
IM NOT DOING THIS EVENT AGAIN" at the end of the day when the
bug bites you,you usually end up scratching it,the following year
will probably head down to Tamworth to watch,not sure about
competing yet,as the truck could be on show in Melb,,but will
definatly have a few brews with you

was sort of glad i pulled out at the last minute when heard it was all called short saved me alot of money to only to the car down for a couple of stages, but after seeing dvd was spewin that i didn't put in more effort to get down there. looks as though everyone was more relaxed and less tense this year (maybe it was the rain). agreed in car made that movie

Whose the "old bastard" going for a Sunday walk down the sand wall, ah it did'nt matter anyway, as Tim in the Rangie was going anywhere. Still got up there in a reasonable time, moral of the story - the tortise and hare.

Great DVD, enjoyed every minute of it. Yes watching in car video for the whole stage made it fun to watch. Gary
