So is it better to use pipe or tube for an exo?
I know that tube is the stuff that is designed for structural stuff but is it necesary on an exo?
I was thinking of using a combo of 32NB and 40NB black pipe on my Lux.
I dont know anybody near me with a tube bender, where as I know a couple of metal fab guys with some nice pipe benders and I can use my cheapy with a dawn die to do some of the basic stuff.
If it is "that much better" to use tube I may just have to shell out on a JD2 bender.
So whats the G O?
I remember reading a pretty comprehensive post detailing what kind of stuff BeeBee used to make his cage. He's been through a couple and knows what works.
I'll see if I can find any better ones that show it more clearly. But basically the exo is 2" tube and the snorkel is 3" The snorkel was as strong as the exo and was solidly mounted to the cage
I looked at that green one when I did mine, but didn't want to cut the front guards as had to keep the side lights. Looks sweet though. Also wanted that green.

Don't you mean the exo was as strong as the exhaust pipe seeing as how they are made from the same material??????
BIGGER THE PROBLEM, BIGGER THE HAMMER.

no they are made from different material and wall thickness tube. The front section of the exo was actually a factory Sierra LWB rear roll bar
