hi guys can someone tell me how to adjust the handbrake on a mq

I found it better to take the tail shaft off and the hand brake drum off and that way you can have a look and see how much shoe’s your got left and have a look at the way you have to turn the adjuster, on the hand brake drum there are too holes with rubber things in it. take one of them out and put the drum back on and line the hole up with the adjuster then get a screw driver and turn the adjuster the way it needs to go just make shore you have got the car in neutral that way you can turn the brake drum until the shoe’sjust grab the drum. then jump in the car and see if your happy with it

also ya can take the cover off from around the handbrake inside the cab and use the adjusting bolts at the back of the handbrake. its a PITA to do tho coz ya can only turn it a bees dick before the seats get in the way of the spanner...

remove the hand brake cover, back off the cable before u adjust the shoes to avoid stretching the cable, once the shoes are just touching, jump in and adjust the cable
