I have the chance to buy a terrano turbo diesel with 190km on the clock that i know has been cared for pretty well (its my uncle's), are there any inherent problems with these cars that i should know about, yes i have searched but the results are mostly quite old and not very infomative. Its a manual by the way.
Cheers.

Mine has 105000 and I love it. It has 30 x 15s (one size up) still turns them ok and there is room for 31s, torsion bars wound up . I came from a leaf sprung 2.8 N/A diesel though, so I'm easy to please.
I just had the brake cylinders replace as they were leaking, rear passenger side rear axl gear oil seal replaced and injector return hoses replaced as they were leaking. Other than that, there was nothing wrong with mine.
Before I bought it the old guy i bought it off towed a camper all around OZ.
Aftermarket parts are hard to find, but they are mostly all there, you just have to look, due to the IFS a small lift is only possible. Can fit up to 31's without really cutting or hammering guards, boot liners, cargo barriers, drawer set ups are all available. Just have to do some seaching to find them. Motors are pretty good as they are old and simple but do the job.easy to service but oil filter is in a bad place and tough to do it without getting covered in oil. fun all the same.
Air flow meters have been known to be no good, so at a start hit it with electrical contact cleaner or replace them. original nissan air flow is very pricey but there is a bosch part number on the original and they can do a good price. every now and then parts turn up on ebay. These cars are big OS, just not here. Im super happy with mine, and it suits all my needs as a medium size tourer for me and my girl, so I don't need anything bigger, nor do I need something to do a winch challenge in. We all want a truck that looks the goods, but whats the point if you don't use it they way its intended. I think some people forget that.
If its a good price say between the 8000 and 10000 then maybe a good buy. I got mine for 14990 in ST trim model with spotties, full rust proofing, second spare rim and tyre, 6 stacker CD, spotless interior as it was just and old couple and 93000.
There was one for sale in sydney 5 months back with 256000 on it for 13000.
Hope all that info helps. I might be able to help you with more detail answers rather than dribble if you ask some more specific questions.
Thanks

99 Nissan Terrano II TDi, 2" lift, 30's, UHF, Hellas, Bull Bar
its a 1994 model 2.7l turbo, rb21 is the model number i think. i read somewere that the injectors clog up and start to squirt a stream of fuel instead of a ist which is quite bad but i imagine regular servicing wolud sort that out. i to am very happy with the ride coming from a swb vitara.

My model is an R20. I just checked redbook, and your model is an import. I can't comment on those as I have no experience, but there are other forums on the net that have loads more info than on here. exploreoz and 4x4 monthly forums have a bit.
