Clutch for GQ Patrol TD42
Clutch for GQ Patrol TD42
Just had a turbo fitted and the old clutch is slipping now. Can anyone suggest a decent clutch to replace it, would like heavy duty so it can handle the turbo but also don't need anything to extreme. I know there are a few options out there. Just don't now wich way to go
Cheers

hate to be the different one i went with a 4 terrain clutch slightly cheaper ($20) and has more clamping pressure and supposedly better friction material than a safari clutch. anyone who has been in my car will tell you i thrash the crap out of it on 35s and no probs yet and ive done 30 000 kms. really good pedal feel to.

Do they have a website? Is it the same people who makes the Safari snorkel. Maybe I can get their products from the US, which is cheaper for us in Latinamerica.hammey wrote:Safari tuff clutch...........................................................the end.

I am in the USA, the Safari Tuff is not available here, especially for the Patrol. I bought mine from Roodogs on ebay for a really good price,

So it's not related to Safari/OME/ARB ? I ask because we have a local distribuitor in Panama whom I could request it.RMP&O wrote:http://www.westernbrakeandsteering.com. ... exedy.htmlMario wrote:Do they have a website? No idea if Exedy makes the OEM stuff. The Safari Tuff is a performance clutch though so it wold be a few steps up from an OEM Exedy made or not. I am not speaking from experience here though as I haven't fitted my Exedy clutch. But as you can see it is popular in Aus.Mario wrote:Just found out. Safari Tough is a model. The brand name is Exedy.
Isn't the OEM clutch made by Exedy ?
Once again I recommend Roodog. He can get you anything that is available in Aus. that may not be available in Panama, including OEM parts. He has even ordered me parts from Japan which Nissan Aus. won't do. Real good guy to deal with, pretty good prices and is more than happy to ship outside Aus. plus ships fast. What more could you ask for being halfway around the world!?
