I am thinking about changing the Landcruiser HZJ105, and the vehicle I would like to change to is the D4D intercooled dual cab hilux (Automatic). I would like to hear comments on owners reliability issues (If any). I understand the manual gearboxes are unreliable, is this true? Also what sort of economy are people getting in normal driving? Please no fuel economy for petrol vehicles. Is there a Hilux forum like lcool.org.
Thanks.
Dave

I thought the new hi lux are a really gud stuff all around .. but I never change a really off road rig like a 105 ( can't compare ) for a hi lux ..
Keeping in mind always the Hi Lux actually have more power on books than 105 1HZ engine .. ( the 1KD-FTV from Hi Lux )
