Hilux Diffs?

Post by Richride »

Would a diff centre out of a 1985 diesel Hilux 4WD fit a 1989 Diesel Hilux 4WD. Is the ratio and bolt patten the same?
My 1989 has a blowen diff and I was hoping it would fit straight in?

it will fit but i'm not sure if the ratio would be the same
Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set

Just check the ratios.
They will either be 4.3 or 4.56 as long as you have a match then no dramas they will swap staight over.

Mine is a 2.8 diesel that has a blowen diff, the spare diff centre I have is out of a 1985 2.4 diesel I wrecked for parts 6 months ago.
