transfercase lever

Post by Shorti »

I just did a body lift today on my NH shorty. I didn't have time to bend the transfer case lever so I can't get it into 2h which is ok, but when I put it into 4h center diff not locked there is no power, I am infering that this is because the center diff is not locked and is exerting all the power to the front hubs, which are not locked. I just wanted to know if its ok to drive around in 4h with center diff locked and the hubs free until i have time to do the transfer case lever?

If you have manual hubs I don't think you'll have a problem because they won't have any resistance against them, hence they won't bind up.
